Grants for Individuals

The Charity can normally only offer help to persons in need living in Hersham, Walton-on-Thames and Oatlands but consideration can be given to those living within Elmbridge.

Walton on Thames Charity aims to help local people escape financial, domestic or housing hardship and avoid exclusion.

Assistance can be given for the following:

INDIVIDUAL CRISIS GRANT

  • On referral from a recognised agency
  • One off crisis only
  • Means tested/low income

SCHOOL UNIFORMS/TRIPS

  • Shoes and logo uniform only
  • One application per academic year per child
  • Referral for school trips

LEARNING /DEVELOPMENT

  • On referral from a recognised agency
  • Means tested/low income

All applications must be accompanied by:

  • A referral form fully completed and signed, unless you are applying for school uniform.
  • An-up-to date bank, building society or post office statement for all accounts held by all members of the household.
  • Any documentary proof demonstrating the crisis.
The applicant must contact the Grants Officer to arrange an appointment before their first application is made.
