Walton-on-Thames CharityWalton Charity is working to bring its unused allotments, ‘field gardens’ and other land into productive use for the benefit of the local community.
Whilst the Charity has a recovery program for its allotments, it is clear that there will still be surplus land that could be used for other activities. The Charity is consulting with a number of partners and community organisations to explore potential uses for the land. We are particularly keen to address local needs and aspirations to achieve a better quality of life for all.
The Charity is working towards ensuring that it is able to maximise its resources for the benefit of the local community and is interested in hearing from potential partners.
In particular the Charity would want to consider using its land to tackle some of the manifestations of poverty such as poor diet, physical inactivity and education and employment.
