The cost of living keeps going up all the time making it harder for many older people to make ends meet.
Many older people do not claim the benefits to which they are entitled, either through lack of awareness or the daunting prospect of form filling. Whatever the reason many statutory benefits go unclaimed. There are many benefits which are NOT means tested and home owners and those with savings are still entitled to apply. We can help make sure you get what is yours!
The Charity’s Welfare Officer gives advice to older people (or their relatives) and assesses their welfare benefit entitlement. Help and support can be provided with form filling and following up on benefit claims. This service is available also to all residents of Walton Charity’s sheltered housing schemes and care home.
