Working in Partnership

Walton-on-Thames Charity has worked for centuries in the local area, with strong links to St Mary’s church and many other local community groups. The Charity aims to be responsive at the heart of the local community. We work closely with a number of groups and agencies to ensure that we not only understand changing environmental factors, but are also able to respond to individual needs as they arise.

Walton-on-Thames Charity is an active member of the following

  • One Elmbridge Partnership
  • Older People’s Advisory Board
  • Advisory Group for Elmbridge Care and Repair
  • Multi agency panel for health, social and housing needs in Elmbridge
  • Joint working group with health and social services for step up step down flat (based at Walton On Thames Charity Mayfield sheltered accommodation)
  • Working group reviewing older people’s housing in Elmbridge

The objects of Elmbridge Mencap are to provide support for people with a learning disability, in particular by practical help for them and for their families, dependants and carers. Elmbridge Mencap also provides and assists in the provision of recreation and leisure time facilities for people with learning disabilities. Through this assistance the conditions of their lives are improved.
