13 Local Organisations Benefit from the Elmbridge Partnership Fund 2018

Walton Charity, Elmbridge Borough Council and Elmbridge Community Fund offered funding for local not-for-profit organisations working to support isolated members of our community.

 Applications were particularly encouraged from small local community groups and organisations and a total of 29 local groups applied to share the £31,000 fund (requesting a total of almost £115,000). Following a Panel Meeting, Elmbridge Borough Council are delighted to announce that the following applicants were successful: The Brigitte Trust, Buttons and Bows, CHEER, Citizens Advice West, East Elmbridge Food Bank, Elmbridge Community Link, Elmbridge Rentstart, FreeWheelers, Homestart Elmbridge, Love of Learning, Mary Francis Trust, River Thames Boat Project and TALK.

Councillor Dorothy Mitchell said “As Grant Panel Chairman, I am pleased that, working closely with Walton Charity, we are able to assist some excellent organisations”.

In addition, Walton Charity is offering a further £18,000 of funding to a number of these organisations and Andrea Watson, Head of Community Support said “Walton Charity is delighted to support the successful Partnership Funding initiative with Elmbridge Borough Council and the Elmbridge Community Fund”.
