Burview Hall Woodlands Project

The woodlands at Burview Hall provide an ideal setting for creative projects and over the past 5 years, during the month of July, Elmbridge Mencap invite local learning disabled adults to creative workshops in the woodlands.

Walton Charity and R.C. Sheriff Trust were delighted to provide funding again for the Burview Woodlands Project which took place in soaring temperatures in July.  Over a two day period, 65 service users and 28 carers attended the workshops and created beautiful hoop canopies.  They also made clay creatures which were then placed in the woodland for people to explore and find.   The workshops were delivered by a local artist, Imogen Andrews.

Two days of fun and creativity culminated in a ‘sausage sizzle’ which proves popular every year.
