Crisis grants for individuals

Providing one-off help to people at a time of hardship. Referrals are usually (but not exclusively) made for help with:

  • Essential household goods (such as white goods) not funded by Surrey Local Assistance Scheme
  • Assistance with, and contributions towards utility bills
  • Essential health and care aids, and equipment not funded by statutory or other voluntary sources
  • Transport costs, if provision is not available
  • Support for young people and school aged children

Caption example

Low income families can apply direct for help with school uniform, school shoes and winter coats for their children. For school trips referrals are made by the child’s school.

  • Referrals for support with extra-curricular / out of school activities and school holiday clubs will also be accepted from organisations working to meet the needs of children and young people.
