Funding for Individuals
Catherine, a 19 year old girl, lives with her mother and younger brother. At the time she approached the Charity her mother was recovering at home from a kidney transplant.
Catherine wanted to improve herself by attending an accountancy and business school in London. She had managed to cover the course fees by using her mother’s credit card and by contributing her earnings from working part time in a local garage. However, the family could not fund the cost of travel to London.
They approached the Charity for support and Catherine was granted travel costs for a year. Recently, Catherine informed us that she had turned 21 and, following the completion of her course, had been offered a full time job with an accountancy firm in Walton-on-Thames.
Catherine could not fund the cost of travel to London to attend college.
