Woking & Sam Beare Hospices were delighted to have received a donation of £7,100 from Walton Charity.  This donation will support the Sam Beare Community Team, helping them to deliver both physio and occupational therapies to residents in Walton on Thames.

Over 70% of the care Woking & Sam Beare Hospices provide is in the patient’s own homes across six Surrey boroughs, including West Elmbridge.

Andrea Watson, Head of Community Programs, Walton Charity, says “Walton Charity is delighted to provide a grant to fund physiotherapy and occupational therapy support to local people, which allows them to live as independently as possible”.

“We are extremely grateful for the continued support of the Walton on Thames charity” commented Jayne Cooper CEO Woking & Sam Beare Hospices “It is support like this that enables us to continue to provide our care across Surrey, including our Sam Beare Community Team”.

The Sam Beare Community Team, currently based in Weybridge, work alongside GP’s and District Nurses to ensure seamless care in the community. They visit any care setting, in patient homes, or a nursing or care home and they visit patients seven days a week.
