Painting Our World in Silver is a charity that helps older people to combat loneliness and create new friendships through craft-based activities. Many individuals living in Elmbridge are socially isolated and experience feelings of loneliness which is associated with poor mental, physical and emotional health; so, providing social activities like these are really important.

Painting our World Silver run these fun, interesting and educational workshops on a monthly basis in Whiteley Village. Anyone is welcome to attend the monthly events and you do not have to live in Whiteley Village.  An essential part of the get togethers is craft making and Walton Charity recently agreed to help fund their craft and equipment supplies.

Lisa Powis, Founder of Painting Our World in Silver says, “So far this year we have created eco designer shopping bags, decorated chocolate Easter eggs, painted ceramics and we are about to design our own mosaic plaques. Each craft is specially designed to give the maker a real sense of accomplishment.”
