Walton on Thames Cricket Club have received a Walton Charity Community Grant, enabling them to expand the activities offered in their Outreach Programme.

The club has an extensive community programme focused on building relations with local organisations, and particularly local schools. Walton Cricket Club is one of just four clubs in the county to champion disability cricket and is aiming to develop further initiatives to support this group.  The club delivers indoor cricket and coaching to Elmbridge Community Link, Surrey Choices Day Centre and Walton Leigh School. They also plan to run four summer ‘Open Days’ to attract more disabled young people into the game.

The Walton Charity Grant will allow the club to expand and develop these initiatives and support further outreach activities and provide further opportunities for more disability groups and individuals to participate in cricket.
