Walton Charity is a local charitable foundation based in Elmbridge, Surrey.
We are a trusted member of the community, having been established over 800 years ago, with a strong track record of providing grants and housing. You can find out more about our long history here.
We understand the needs of those living in Elmbridge and work with local partners and the community to tackle issues of poverty, health, housing and educational attainment in our local area. Walton Charity has a diverse profile, meaning we can support our community in the following ways:
Our individual and community grant programmes, we fund charities, schools and community groups who are tackling poverty in Elmbridge and supporting local families and individuals living on a low income.
Four almshouses (two for over-55’s, and two for key workers).
Acres of land which we have made into green spaces available for local residents, including a community allotment and Tree Canopy project.
The Walton & Hersham foodbank and The Bridge - our shop-without-a-till.

Our mission
We understand and raise awareness of the impacts of poverty and inequality. Working together with our partners and the community, we initiate and facilitate programmes that deliver tangible and lasting improvements to the quality of life of those living in our borough.
