Residential Officer  

18 hours a week 12-month fixed term contract

Salary: £29,465 (FTE)

Are you a real ‘people person’? Do you love engaging with people and helping them? Walton Charity is looking for a Residential Officer to join its Property & Maintenance Team, helping us to build a thriving local community.  

We are a place-based charity working in Elmbridge, Surrey. Our vision is for an Elmbridge community where everyone has the opportunity and support to live a rewarding life, free from poverty and inequality. We use our people, land, property, and funds to tackle issues of poverty, health, housing, and educational attainment in our local area.  

You will provide signposting support for and engage with the residents of Walton Charity’s independent living schemes. You will also contribute to the on-going development of the charity’s resident services and the day-to-day smooth running of the independent living schemes.

This role would suit a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and a caring, ‘can do’ attitude. You will have good negotiation skills and the ability to advocate for residents with professional agencies. Good numeracy and literacy skills, plus functional IT skills in word and excel and the ability to learn new systems would be ideal.

This is a part-time, fixed term contract role of 18 hours (3 days) a week and will be based on-site, across charity housing schemes in Walton & Hersham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a big difference as part of a small, friendly team.
