Back to School Appeal

Our Back to School Appeal is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who made a donation or shared our appeal, together we have raised a fantastic £23,205, enough to fund school uniforms for 230 children.

Through our Opportunities Funds, we will continue to work with schools across Elmbridge to make sure all children in our community have the uniform, shoes and equipment they need to feel proud, confident and ready to learn at school.

We are so grateful to Walton Charity for the funds they give us to help us support our families. We have helped over thirty children with new school uniform items ranging from cardigans, school trousers and book bags, to PE kits and school shoes.

Finding the money to buy new school uniform is such a worry for many families and this support comes as a huge relief, really helping to take the pressure off.
— Kate Hobley, Home School Link Worker, Walton Oak

With over 3,800 local children living in poverty, costs like a new school uniform are something many families simply cannot afford. Find out how we are supporting children and families across Elmbridge who are facing financial hardship.

We have relied pretty much on grants from the government but this is not enough for the basics, let alone the cost of the uniform.”
