Employed staff paid at Real Living Wage
The real Living Wage is a voluntary, hourly rate of pay that is based on the actual cost of living. Over 6,000 employers in the UK are choosing to pay these rates to all their staff. Walton Charity is a Living Wage Funder and we seek to ensure that all posts which are wholly or partially funded by us pay the real Living Wage unless there are particular reasons for this not to happen. Please cost up any funding application for salaries to at least the real Living Wage. Organisations do not need to be accredited Living Wage Employers to apply to Walton Charity, but we do encourage organisations to consider whether this is a possibility for them. For more information see https://www.livingwage.org.uk/.
Does your organisation pay all directly employed staff the Real Living Wage (not to be confused with the National Living Wage, which is statutory)? For current rates see www.livingwage.org.uk/what-real-living-wage. This is a compulsory question. If the answer is no, please provide further information under the section on organisation activities.
Contractual staff
If your organisation employs staff on a contractual basis (rather than directly), are these staff paid at least the National Living Wage National Minimum Wage and Living Wage calculator for employers - GOV.UK?
