Work with us
Property Maintenance & Compliance Officer
28 hours a week (Mon-Fri – flexible but including Fri)
Salary: £34,000 (FTE)
Do you have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy? Walton Charity is looking for a Property Maintenance & Compliance Officer to join its Property & Maintenance Team, helping us to build a thriving local community.
We are a place-based charity working in Elmbridge, Surrey. Our vision is for an Elmbridge community where everyone has the opportunity and support to live a rewarding life, free from poverty and inequality. We use our people, land, property, and funds to tackle issues of poverty, health, housing, and educational attainment in our local area.
The successful candidate will be the point of contact for the management of property compliance, servicing, repairs, maintenance, and contractor activities across the organisations property portfolio. You will ensure records are maintained accurately, inspections and servicing are scheduled and monitored, and maintenance requests are processed efficiently to support safe, compliant, and well-maintained properties. You will also advise on and influence policies and procedures, contributing to the overall safety of Charity beneficiaries, residents, tenants and staff.
This role would suit a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and a caring, ‘can do’ attitude. You will have good numeracy and literacy skills, plus functional IT skills in word and excel and the ability to learn new systems would be ideal.
This is a part-time, fixed term contract role of 28 hours a week and will be based on-site, across charity properties in Elmbridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a big difference as part of a small, friendly team.
